Our History
The Alathur IPC Ebenezer Prayer Center was established in 2004, during the period when Pr. Sam Daniel was serving as the Center Pastor. The founding of the church was the result of his far-sighted vision and deep spiritual burden for the people of this region.
In the initial phase, worship services were conducted at Brother Varghese’s building at Swathi Junction. Pr. Biju Kurian served as the first pastor, followed by Pr. Jibin Joseph, Pr. Binz George, Pr. Joby George, and Pr. Bovas, all of whom ministered faithfully and wholeheartedly for the growth of the church.
Throughout its journey, the church was blessed by the ministry of dedicated servants of God and their families. Despite facing numerous challenges and hardships, they remained steadfast and, by God’s grace, continued to move forward without discouragement, becoming a source of strength and encouragement to the congregation.
For many years, the church did not have a permanent place of worship, and this need was continuously brought before God in prayer. A significant turning point came through the visionary leadership, tireless efforts, and prayerful commitment of the former Center Pastor, Pr. T. P. Poulose, who has now entered eternal rest. Pr. T. P. Poulose and his family stood as a strong pillar of support to the church, faithfully sharing the burdens of the ministry, offering constant encouragement, and standing with the believers during times of difficulty and uncertainty.
Through their selfless dedication, sacrificial service, and unwavering faith, God enabled the church to acquire its own building, fulfilling a long-standing prayer and bringing great joy and stability to the congregation. After the present pastor, Pr. Ramesh, took charge, the fruits of this vision and labor became clearly evident.
The Lord continues to lead the Alathur IPC Ebenezer Prayer Center with abundant grace and blessings, and the legacy of faithful servants—especially Pr. T. P. Poulose and his family—remains a lasting testimony among us.
